I'm 21, and I'm working a trade job (paying 2,5k after tax p/m) right now.
-Tried dropshipping in early January and quit after 3 months because I didn't know what I was doing.
-Bought expensive course from guru and got into copywriting but failed to land clients.
-Got offer from agency recently to work as a copywriter and declined it.
Now I was thinking about what I should do.
Feeling stuck because everybody is saying something different.
Should I stay in my trade job?
Learn coding and get a job as a SWE?
Tech Sales Job?
Start Ecom or Saas?
I could also go to university in january (free in germany). Should I go and get a degree in electrical engineering and try to land a role at a big corp?
I also got an offer to work as a performance marketing manager for an ecom brand, would you take it?
I’m also running a ecom marketing agency right now.
do sales and ecom. get a degree in whatever you want–electrical engineering if you want to be an engineer, marketing if you want to be a marketer. if you become elite at cold traffic, you can outsource coding for a SaaS. take the job offers.
It would probably take me about 4,5 years to get that bachelor of science since I need to do one year of FOS in Germany because the math level of that degree is too high.
(Can only study electrical engineering since that's the field where I'm working in right now and it's a rule in Germany)
And should I then try to land a tech sales job while in Uni?
And so you would take the job offer as a performance marketing manager, but how would the Roadmap after this look like?
Sorry for asking you all of those questions, but I'm just scared of making the wrong decisions and everybody is just giving me different advice.
there is no roadmap. you just keep doing stuff to create more options for your future self to figure it out once he has more information and experience.
I don't know. I've never been in that situation. But I can tell you if someone with an Indian accent tries to sell me something over a cold call, I'm going to hang up immediately
Hello, I am 32 years old and have a degree in mechanical engineering, although I have not practiced it for a while, do you think that the best option to learn programming is online, or a tutor would be faster, I have heard that 5 years or earlier you can master that subject, Do you think that a 37-year-old candidate is a good hiring prospect?
This was great.
Do you have a good litmus test for knowing whether someone would become bored/burnt out after a couple years?
all work sucks. pick your poison and find enjoyment in being a winner instead
can't argue with that
this was very informative. can you write a guide for senior system design interviews

Yo Fox,
Do you have some advice for me?

Hey Fox, thank you for your answer.
So you would recommend me going to university?
It would probably take me about 4,5 years to get that bachelor of science since I need to do one year of FOS in Germany because the math level of that degree is too high.

Do you think a non-native English speaker (B2) can succeed in sales in highly competitive markets like the US and UK?
I don't know. I've never been in that situation. But I can tell you if someone with an Indian accent tries to sell me something over a cold call, I'm going to hang up immediately

if your native language is English, I can tutor you in half the time.

Your age doesn’t matter. Time is ticking regardless of the decision you make.
Do you have any recommendations for online schools to get a CS degree as fast as possible?
Depends on your location and background. We can hop on a call to discuss
